City of Seminole Mayor
The City of Seminole operates under a Council-Manager form of government which is a system that combines the strong political leadership of elected officials in the form of a City Council, with the managerial experience of an appointed local government manager. The Mayor presides over meetings of the City Council, and is allowed an equal vote as a member of the Council. In the case of disaster or other emergency, the Mayor (or Vice-Mayor in the absence of the Mayor) also has the power to issue executive orders, proclamations and regulations which have the full force of the law.
