Seminole City Council
The City of Seminole operates under a Council-Manager form of government that combines the political leadership of elected officials in the form of a City Council, with the managerial experience of an appointed local government manager. The City Council consists of the mayor and six council members elected at large by all qualified electors of the City. The City Council is empowered to create ordinances, set municipal fees, enter into contracts and issue bonds to finance public projects. In addition, the City Council is responsible for producing an annual budget to support the efficient provision of municipal services and for appointing members of the Charter Review Board every five years.
