Madeira Beach City Commissioner District 1
The City of Madeira Beach operates under a Council-Manager form of government. The Board of Commissioners consists of the Mayor and four Commission members. Commission members are each nominated from one of four districts in Madeira Beach, and then elected through city-wide ballot. The Board of Commissioners is the governing body of the City of Madeira Beach and is responsible for establishing ordinances and policies to protect the health, safety, and general welfare of the community. The Board is also responsible for appointing a City Manager to run the day-to-day operations of the City, and the approval of the annual budget which is prepared by the City Manager.
